在電路設(shè)計(jì)后，為了進(jìn)行工作驗(yàn)證，需要組裝電路進(jìn)行實(shí)驗(yàn)。但是結(jié)果會(huì)經(jīng)常出現(xiàn)不按設(shè)計(jì)那樣工作。例如設(shè)計(jì)的放大器卻變成了振蕩器，在模擬電路中由于混入數(shù)字電路來的噪聲，使模擬信號(hào)的波形失真、工作不穩(wěn)定、不能順利得到數(shù)據(jù)。對(duì)低頻電路來說，無論誰組裝，只要布線不接錯(cuò)，各種不同的安裝、布線、電路特性幾乎沒有差異，可得到相同的數(shù)據(jù)。但是高頻卻不同了，由于安裝方法不同，一般會(huì)得到不同特性的數(shù)據(jù)。
在高頻電路及高速數(shù)字電路中，如果有一條線就會(huì)形成電感成分（寄生），如果有兩條線則在線間就會(huì)形成寄生電容成分及互感成分（寄生），即所謂三寄生。所形成的三寄生數(shù)值是很微小的，因此在低頻時(shí)幾乎不成問題，但是在高頻領(lǐng)域卻不能忽略該C、L成分的影響。
最近為了提高機(jī)器的性能，經(jīng)常將從低頻到高頻的模擬電路、高速數(shù)字電路、微型模擬電路及大電流電路等各種電路混在一起，這樣會(huì)造成電路的不穩(wěn)定及頻率特性惡化。其中主要原因就是在設(shè)計(jì)時(shí)未充分考慮上述三寄生，而無法維持可靠性和安全性。
另外，電路圖中只用二維表現(xiàn)半導(dǎo)體器件及R、C、L的集中參數(shù)，但這并不能代表實(shí)際電路的性能和功能。實(shí)際的動(dòng)作是三維空間，包括頻率就是四維空間了。因此，由交調(diào)失真、反射、靜電、電磁結(jié)合形成的微電流電路在高頻電路中會(huì)對(duì)特性、功能造成影響。最近的IC想根據(jù)時(shí)代的要求，很多是高速動(dòng)作的器件，對(duì)高頻噪聲的響應(yīng)很敏感。因此在使用器件時(shí)要根據(jù)電路功能選擇相應(yīng)的元器件，盡量避免使用高于要求的高速IC。
在電路圖中通常將電源、地線、信號(hào)線的阻抗均按零歐姆考慮的。但是實(shí)際上是不存在零歐姆的，而且頻率越高，電感和寄生電容的影響越大。結(jié)果，電路相互結(jié)合及外部電磁場的影響大到不能忽略的程度，造成電路不穩(wěn)定及頻率特性惡化。在模擬電路中應(yīng)解決誤差、噪聲及時(shí)間延遲問題；而數(shù)字電路中解決抗噪聲，通過同步使之不受時(shí)間延遲的影響，對(duì)改善電路特性是非常重要的。
